Supprt Asian Women's Friendship Association Inc. (SAWs) is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides community education, health information and social activities to women from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. We foster social connection and strive to ensure that our programs promote and maximise the opportunities for women to access government and community sectors services and information.
SAWs has a number of social gatherings where you can participate in food, craft and friendship. We also organise training courses in a variety of subjects - Computing, Cooking, English classes etc. Furthermore, each year we celebrate on special days such as the Chinese New Year.
All women will be given the opportunity to express themselves in a healthy, safe and comfortable environment, and can develop the skills to take them wherever they want to go.
Empowering women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Encouraging women to fulfil their lives to their best abilities and strengths through education, health and social connectedness.
We believe that women should be empowered to achieve true equality in society to reduce isolation and fear, and have the right to be independent. We recognise that women working together can improve their own lifestyles, strengthen social structure and build a better society. Therefore, we believe that SAWs can make a difference.
